Week 4 : Task 1 - Astrospies

The Summary
I watched Astrospies. It was about 50 minute Lecture. I thought it would be boring, but it was very interesting Lecture. The Lecture is about special astronaut's who when to the space to spy on the Soviet Union in cold war. They are talking about how they trained the astronaut's and it was secret mission that nobody knew. The first spy satellite was called Krona. It was about 100 mile up in the space. It could take a picture almost everything size of truck, but only on clear day they could see the picture. So U.S. government decide to make air craft U2. Pilot would get on the U2 and fly over the Soviet Union to take picture of the secret base where they were making the nuclear weapons. Unfortunately on their second flight U2 was shoot down by the Soviet Union missile. After the shoot down U.S. government decided to send a person up in space where they can be safe. So government plan a special mission that nobody know called MOL. They trained the pilot to be come a Astronaut. Only 8 man had passed the training out of 100. At the end of this mission U.S. government cancel the project. The 8 man didn't go out to the space, but Soviet Union ALMAZ want up in space 5 time, but only 2 mission was succeed. It will be too long to write all the story on summary so have a great time watching Astrospies.

I chose this Lecture because I want to know about Astrospies. When I look it the title I asked my self "What is a Astrospies?" I got curious about it, so decide to watch it. I think spy other country is needed some time, but too much spying is no good. If there is strong enemy spy can be useful, but today satellite is used in GPS and navigation system. Because there is not much of war like back days. However, I think the pilots are brave enough to go on a mission that nobody know about it. Also it will be honor tp go on a mission for your country. Most important thing is I learned alot out of it.
